The 2nd International Conference on Education, Teaching, and Learning took place on November 3–4, 2023, as a hybrid conference in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand. The conference was organized by iConferences and made possible through the collaborative efforts of esteemed academic partners, the Faculty of Education at Al Madinah International University, Malaysia, and the Department of Educational Technology at Kasetsart University, Thailand.
The conference featured a diverse array of activities, ranging from insightful keynote speeches to engaging panel discussions, workshops, and oral presentations. Under the theme "Humanizing Education: Learning in the Next Century," the conference participants delved into various aspects of education, exploring topics such as teachers, leadership, higher education institutes, technology, and more.
Researchers from various countries, including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Lao PDR, Philippines, Thailand, the United States, Malaysia, Indonesia, and France, presented their findings, contributing to a rich tapestry of global perspectives on education. The conference successfully provided a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing, marking a significant step forward in shaping the future of education.
The 3rd International Conference on Education, Teaching, and Learning will take place on September 19–20, 2024 (in person and online) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the theme “Empowering Education: Navigating 21st Century Learning Through Equity, Innovation, and Resilience.”.
TEACHERS
The first technical session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Lee Kean Wah (Professor in Applied Linguistics at the School of Education and the Director of Research of the school at the University of Nottingham (Malaysia campus)) and six interesting presentations were given during this session. Recognising the pivotal role teachers play in building the foundation of education and learning, this session was aimed at exploring and addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities within the teaching profession.
LEADERSHIP
Prof. Dr. Faizah Idrus of the International Islamic University, Malaysia chaired this technical session, which was presented by four researchers. During this session, attendees had the opportunity to engage with expert speakers and presenters who shared their insights, research findings, and practical experiences related to educational leadership.
TECHNOLOGY
TECHNOLOGY
The third technical session was dedicated to the theme of "TECHNOLOGY." Under the insightful leadership of the distinguished session chair, Dr. Lynde Tan (Senior Lecturer in Primary Literacy Curriculum and Pedagogy at the School of Education, Western Sydney University (WSU),Sydney), this session brought together a panel of three accomplished presenters who delved into the intersection of education and technology.
Higher Education Institutes (HEI)
Prof. Dr. Faizah Idrus chaired the next session titled "HEI" which was consisted of three researchers. Covering diverse aspects such as curriculum development, pedagogical innovations, student engagement, and the integration of technology in higher education, the HEI session aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing academic institutions in the 21st century.
ESL/EFL STUDENTS
The final technical session of the 2nd International Conference on Education, Teaching, and Learning focused on the theme of "ESL/EFL Students." Chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Suraya Binti Wan Nik (Al Madinah International University, Malaysia), this session brought together a diverse panel of four presenters, each offering unique perspectives and valuable insights into the challenges and innovations surrounding English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education.
